Brookhaven Lake Update

I had the great pleasure of catching up with Jeff and Mike Johnson of Brookhaven Lake at the expo on Sunday.  The grayling are in according to their reports and they are highly excited about the upcoming season.  They are also reporting that, starting this season, they will be having groups of scouts and school aged children out to the lake to learn some fly fishing and hike the interpretive Michigan Fly Fishing History trail.  Kudos to Jeff and Mike for championing the cause of the grayling and getting kids involved with this sport that we all love so much.

Here are some shots from Brookhaven to get the blood going.

No, No .... please don't wake me up; I don't want this particular daydream to end.  Big Brookies on the fly.  I have a smile on my face and a little trickle of drool on my chin.

Be sure to click on the Brookhaven link in the right hand column of this blog if you would like to see about getting in on some of this action.
